First off, let’s just get this out of the way.
Hi! Yes, it has been a while. I know I said I’d be better at posting this semester but (insert lame excuse here)
In all seriousness, Uni is being as difficult as ever and has the nasty habit of eating up all the time I have, even when I purposefully try to set some aside for William. Luckily, I’m finishing my second-to-last year now, and my fourth year looks to be much less hectic, as far as I can tell.
But you’re not here to listen to my excuses or my promises.
Three years ago today, William Fall was introduced to the world, a high school senior at the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic with dreams of writing books in his spare time. Three years later, and I have a website where I post Short Stories, Series, and Updates; I’m editing my first book and beginning the hunt for beta readers; and I’ve started laying the groundwork for more audio-visual projects (Subscribe to Will Fall Studios by the way, it’s nice and empty now, but projects will be coming out for that soon!)
I never dreamed that this would happen. I’ve always been an incredibly shy person, and posting my stories has been a huge help to my apprehension of showing other people my work. Seeing positive reactions to the little worlds I write boosts my confidence as a writer and makes me believe that maybe one day, I will be able to sell books and direct larger projects.
Sure, there have been snags along the way (my incredibly lackluster posting schedule being one), but I genuinely feel myself improving on what I set out to do, finding my voice, and having “a chance to take you, reader, to another place, another time, another world, even if just for a moment or two.”
I cannot believe that three years have come and gone. More specifically, I can’t believe there are still people willing to give me a chance to share my stories with them.
Whether this is the first post you’ve read, or if you stumbled on my little world three years ago and have stayed ever since,
Thank you.
And here’s to another year of improvements and storytelling.
See you soon!
