Hello!
I know, it’s supposed to be the day a short story goes up, and here I am, giving another website update instead. Trust me, though; this one is super important. It will be all over the news in a few days, and I figured you all should hear it from me before you hear it from one of them.
Last night, after a few weeks of negotiation, William Fall Writings sold its name and story rights to none other than one of the most relevant streaming platforms, Netflix.
That’s right, the company that brought you such unforgettable classics as the Avatar: The Last Air Bender Live-Action Movie, the not at all controversial Cuties, and the endless (ENDLESS) list of Cookie Cutter Teen Rom-Com Movies.
Now, I’m unsure how much I’m allowed to disclose at the current time. However, I know the first show Netflix will be doing will be based on “The Klorps’ Guide to Species: Humans,” That they plan on remastering as an Edgy Teen Rom-Com, which I got to say, was my dream for this scientific short story meticulously analyzing the human race from an outsiders perspective.
Soon after that, they will be adapting the short story “Commander Falzin” (One of the first stories in “From the Mixed-Up Mind of William Fall”) into an edgy teen rom-com about The Ragnarok. I’ve seen their planned special effects. Top of the line, early PS3 Graphics that look nearly convincing!
You may be wondering, “What about Guardians, the series you’ve been writing for years and dreaming of turning into an animated show since the initial conception?”
Well, wonder no more! Netflix doesn’t want to touch it. In fact, they want me to stop all production of that series immediately under penalty of the law!
Cool right?
And don’t go worrying about me. I can do a lot as the original author of these stories. Netflix allows me to sit in on one production meeting every six months, and all of the other people get these terrific noise-canceling headphones they wear when I bring up criticism or suggestions. I also get to make these cool updates for you to tell you about the incredible shows that they’re making from my work (if I didn’t, I would be fired! It’s a win for every party involved)
So remember this day, dear viewers (can’t say readers anymore because they’re taking down the website. When they say “exclusive production rights,” they really mean it)
Remember this day, dear viewers, April 1st, 2022, the day William Fall (a Netflix Subsidiary, all rights reserved) hit the big time.
Thanks for reading!
William J. Fall
