The people listen closely to Creator Xinar’s Speech, and the Guardians listen closely to the people, making sure no plots against the leader of the human world could be hatched. As the Creator adresses the concerns of his people, Esmun thinks about the diffrences between his Guardianship and the ones prior. Are him and his friends really as weak as people say?

The Four Walked onto the outside balcony. Below them was a crowd of people, and they were hit by the sound of the conversations below. Esmun focused on a random Conversation, instantly the other noises died down, and he could hear their conversation as if he was next to them in an empty room. The power of The Failoga Book.

“I may ask for them to get my money back. It’s unfair that the dude was revealed to be a fraud after I bought that “one of a kind” Book.” one of the men was saying, Esmun stopped listening and zoned back to the full range of conversations, making a mental note to return the money to the cheated man in secret. The discussions went silent as the people noticed The Guardians standing on the balcony. The four held their swords upright in front of them. Red, Yellow, Green, Blue; shining in the sunlight, bidding the crowd be silent. The Leaders are coming.

The door opened again, Esmun never turned around, but he knew it to be Familiar Ingrid. Her steps were small but sure, leaning against her staff as she made her way to her seat. The familiar was the only one with a seat given to her. Due to her age, she was not required to stand the entire time. Sitting in the elevated chair, she was set over the Guardians, showing her rightful place.

The door opened one final time, and Xinar entered the balcony. His steps were sure and large as he strode to his place. Esmun felt his sword quivering in his hand; feeling the presence of the artifact that had empowered it, Xinar stood in his place, over the rest of the Group. He touched the palm of his hand against The Book and muttered a request to it. Then he spoke, his voice amplified over the entire area so all who listened could hear.

“My brothers and sisters,” he said, “we are gathered here today to celebrate the two thousandth anniversary of the Ceremony of the Shield. Those two thousand years ago, The First Creator, Creator Adnachiel, created The Failoga Book and the Great Barrier to end the war between Human and Idemoni, separating the monsters from the humans with the Barrier that stands over us to this day..”

Esmun zoned out. This part of the speech was the same every year. The history of Archana, the War of Magic, the creation of the Great Barrier, the First Creator. He had heard it every year since his birth. He stood and waited, scanning the audience for anything of interest.

“Many people are still concerned about the rocky transition from my predecessor to me. I assure you, Familier Ingrid and I had discussed our rebuilding hopes and have made sure that something like what happened when I came to power will never happen again.” Xinar was saying. Esmun resisted the urge to look at his friends.

When it came time for The Creator to pass on the title, Familiar Ingrid and them would choose from The Guardians who is most worthy of taking the book and the title. The other three Guardians take high positions around the temple, such as becoming the Mphu and training the new Guardians. However, on the day Xinar took the book, the other three Guardians just…vanished. It was said the old Red Guardian, Bellial, went insane. The event shook the Creator, and Guardian system to its core, with Mphu Lonix, forced to train the new Guardians instead of being replaced by a younger teacher. This led to a different form of teaching as Lonix was too old to physically fight the Guardians, which led to the people of Archana believing that Esmun and the other Guardians were weaker than their Predecessors.

“I have total confidence in every single person in the temple and every single person in our country, we are as strong as ever, and we can only go up.” Xinar was saying. There was polite applause in the crowd. Xinar went on in his speech, encouraging the people to stay strong and happy. He finished, and the people clapped and cheered. Xinar helped Ingrid stand, and she made her way back to the door. Going through it, the two vanished back into the temple.

The speech was over, the crowd went back to their festivities. The Guardians put their swords back on their belt and left the balcony to mild applause. The Ceremony was over for the citizens of Archana, now was the time to celebrate.
